WELCOME - The Ponca Tribe Early Childhood Development Center operates under the umbrella of the Ponca Tribe of Oklahoma and focuses on providing the highest degree of quality services and support to Tribal families and children living in the immediate Ponca Tribal Community and their unique needs. However, children of all race and ethnicity are welcome and will receive the same level of care regardless of race, religion, creed, etc.
Head Start, Child Care and Daycare operations were combined under one name and roof in March 2007. Our center was named Zhin-Ga-Ma meaning “little ones” for the precious children in our care. Our primary goal is to provide a positive atmosphere in which cooperative play and developmental appropriate learning takes place.

HEAD START PROGRAM: Head Start is a comprehensive child development program that serving children from birth to age 5, pregnant women, and their families. Our Center provides two classrooms which serves 35 children-17 three-year olds and 18 four-year olds. Head Start is a child-focused program aimed at increasing the school readiness of young children in low-income families. Visit our webpage for specific information regarding Head Start.
CHILD CARE PROGRAM: The Ponca Tribe Office of Child Care may help with the costs of child care for eligible parents or legal caretakers whoare employed, pursuing education, training, for limited job search, or if children require protective services.
