White Eagle (2-12-10)- Four newly elected members of the Business Committee sworn in.  Paula Mendoza, Earl "Trey" Howe III, Oliver LittleCook and Pete Buffalohead were sworn in as business committee members.  The election was held on December 19, 2009.  Following the swearing in ceremony a meeting was held and the officers of the committee were nominated and installed.  The Chairman is Douglas Rhodd, Vice-Chairman Earl "Trey" Howe III and Secretary/Treasurer Paula Mendoza.  The remaining business committee members are Scotty Simpson Jr., Henry Rhodd, Oliver LittleCook and Pete Buffalohead.

More than 400 members of federally recognized tribes gathered at a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by President Barack Obama, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar and Cabinet Members.  President Obama delivered opening remarks and signed a Memorandum of Understanding that directs every cabinet agency to give a detailed plan within 90 days of how they will finally implement a Clinton era executive order to establish regular and meaningful tribal consultation and collaboration.
